Pizza Meat Loaf

Description

A comforting twist on classic meatloaf that brings pizza flavors to the dinner table. Tomato soup, oregano, and garlic create a savory, saucy base while bread cubes keep the loaf tender and moist. Topped with melted mozzarella for a gooey finish.

Ingredients

  • 1 (10 1/2 oz) can Tomato soup
  • 1/4 c Water
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano, crushed
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 c Small bread cubes
  • 1/4 c Finely chopped onion (dry)
  • 2 tbsp Chopped parsley
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 to 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 2 lb Ground beef
  • 2 slices Process cheese (Mozzarella)

Instructions

  1. Sauce: Blend soup, water, oregano, and garlic in a bowl.
  2. Mix: Combine 1/4 cup of the soup mixture with bread cubes, onion, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly with the ground beef.
  3. Bake: Place in a loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour at 350°.
  4. Finish: Remove from oven and spoon off excess fat. Pour the remaining soup mixture over the loaf. Top with cheese slices and return to the oven until cheese melts.
