Description
This is a recipe for a Black Tie coffee drink. It is a combination of coffee, chicory syrup, sweetened condensed milk, and half and half. The drink is served over ice and is perfect for a hot day. Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons ground coffee
- 1 ½ tablespoons chicory syrup
- 6 ounces cold, filtered water
- 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk
- Ice
- 1 tablespoon half and half
Steps
- Brew the coffee with the water using your favorite method.
- Add the coffee, and chicory syrup to a measuring cup or glass. Stir to combine and set aside.
- Measure sweetened condensed milk into a serving glass. Fill glass with ice.
- Pour coffee mixture over ice.
- Top with a float of half and half.

Chicory Syrup Recipe
Ingredients
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons roasted chicory
Directions
- Add all ingredients to a small pan
- Over medium heat, bring ingredients to a low simmer.
- Turn off heat, cover pan, and let sit for 30 minutes.
- Strain out solids and place syrup in a bottle.
Syrup will keep, refrigerated, for up to a week.
